I was not always in the darkness
Up above I gaze into the light
I remember it's warmth and it's scorning embrace
Sometimes I miss it, and then hate how I was scorned
Then I remember the cold yet gentle embrace of the dark
I remember it's acceptance it's love and it's might
A warm smile reaches my lips and I remember I am home

With the rise of the third moon, twilight wanes ever so slightly

I await you in the courtyard of your father, my king

Your intoxicating allure has captured and grips me tightly

My honour, fealty, patriotic resolve have fled upon your wistful wings

My calloused fingers long to roam the fern green gardens

that grow beneath your crown. Beneath your gown, my mind doth roam.

As I contemplate your substance, I both soften and I harden

For your father I would slay the world, but for you, I'd take his throne

Cold and thick her misty breath caresses the bare skin upon my throat

The night mother whispers to me, sweet promises of numbing liberation

Velvet, zephyr borne susurrations, enticing as the siren's song

Swaying in unison with the slowing rhythm heart's finale

Darkness engulfs the night, subduing lifelong anguish

One last drumbeat, a knowing smile, for this night

She has had her fill

Peerless in my conviction I trudge alone through the murky swamp.

It's gasses play tricks on my mind,

conjuring my fears before me.

Knowing this helps me not,

I fear nothing more than what lurks beyond these mists.

Into it's lair I stumble, my body begging me to flee

Vengeance; my fuel

Vengeance; my sole reward

My beautiful daughter lays somewhere underfoot

Lured away by evil magicks

Consumed by curs'd beasts

For far too long our children have been stolen for their feast

My sorrows strip me of my zeal

And in that instant I am disarmed

My blade sinks in the marshes, I turn to face my foe

But instead of monstrous gaze

I'm met with familiar face

My daughter whispers softly

"Father, I am this place"

Her kiss syphons my essence

Inside her an army of wretched souls surround me

Together, we dine on my corpse.

Finally reunited.

I am that first drop of crimson

in the cold, wet bathroom tomb.

That ugly fucking duckling

inside these lion's pride

This alien encounter

threatens to expose

My tranquil, vaporous mask

which beguiles my dislocation

My broken mind

is my prison cell

In solitary confinement

I accept no visitors

Fear ridden I take the next step

Through the hells my mind does create

That threaten to steal my last breath

Mine own hand; the bringer of fate

For paranoid delusions

loom ominously

around every corner

both inside and out

What's real no longer does matter

My habitat is intrinsically hostile

I dare not remain where I stand

Fear ridden I take the next step

I posted this in the Fiendish Forum, but I thought it would better suit a blog :) Keep reading to learn how to use dirt from a cemetery in casting spells.

Collecting Graveyard Dirt

Protection: Because spirits are not always the peaceable, gentle creatures we assume they are, you’ll occasionally run across one who decides to wreak havoc with your work. For this reason I always wear a necklace that I’ve charged for protection when I enter a cemetery—any sort of amulet or talisman will do if it’s charged properly—and then ask Oya for Her blessing. This keeps any ornery spirits at bay since not even the most mischievous would dare to mess with Her!

Payment: Never enter a cemetery without at least nine dimes in your pocket. There are several reasons for this. For one thing, it’s polite to give something back in payment for the dirt you’re taking, and nine dimes is the acceptable payment. There’s also a theory that dimes cut the connection with harmful spirits, and if the dirt’s paid for in that medium, they won’t attach themselves to you or your property. In any case, I always bury the dimes where I’ve taken the dirt, and I’ve never had the slightest bit of trouble.

Alternatives to Graveyard Dirt

- Church: This dirt is excellent when used to invite the assistance of positive spiritual forces. It also goes a long way toward protecting against the intrusion of evil spirits.

- Courthouse: Use this dirt for anything even remotely involving legal matters. This could include contracts, court cases, general justice, and even money that’s owed to you. If your intent would benefit from the discerning eye of the law, this is the dirt you need.

- Hospital or Doctor’s Office: Gather dirt from any of these locations for efforts that involve healing. There are a couple of things you should keep in mind, though. First, no magic in the world is a substitute for medical care or prescription medication.

- Jail: Use this dirt to keep the police away from your door, especially if you’re prone to trouble with them. To make yourself invisible to the police and perhaps, cause them to overlook a bench warrant, add a piece of hematite to the dirt.

Sprinkling: Perhaps the easiest and quickest way to incorporate the dirt’s beneficial energies into your life is along the outside perimeter of your property or under the doormat and around the front porch.

Charm Bag: The dirt is usually combined with snippets of your hair and fingernail clippings (these taglocks identify you as the person to reap the rewards), along with any other items you consider of benefit. The entire mixture is then placed into the bag, which is worn around the neck or someplace else close to the body.

Good Luck Bottle: Sometimes known as a Witch’s Bottle, this generally takes the form of a jar with a tight-fitting screw-on lid. The dirt mixture is placed in the bottom of the container and sprinkled with herbs that vibrate to good fortune. (Any combination may be used, but I tend to use cinnamon, basil, and lavender, as they bring love, money, and spiritual protection.)

Drips from the oceans of Baal

Oh mighty dragons hear my call

The coming storm which engulfs us all

A coming sacrifice, dismal, windfall

Blood spilt forth to the leviathan's stream

An intoxicating and exciting archaic dream

As far stretched out covenant

The lord's of horrors constant

Bring forth the scorching fall

Engulfing, drowning them all

Bring forth the euphoric veil

So all may gaze in awe and drown assail

Bring them forth from the darkest sky

As ye might gushes forth from up on high

Bring upon thy altar divine

The rotten hearts of humankind

Slithering creatures cometh forth and fall

The sounds of screams and roars appall

As distant tides cometh forth align

the dawn of night, darkness benign

The sacred chants of this pouring stream

A sacred rite to drown the light

Whats brought forth and succumbed out of sight

A shimmering voice within the wind

Possessing me forth, in lust and dinned
